Found my muse again.

Wed Jan 30, 2008, 5:59 AM
So after a dry spell on the creativity side of things, I have finally found something that has caught the attention of my "oh look something shiny *evenly distributes 1/6th of the load to the rest of the pallbearers*" easily distracted mind. Andrew Davidhazy from the Rochester Institute of Technology has always sparked my interest with his unique photographic techniques. This is where I found the 360 Polaroid scanning technique that I had so much fun with. So I want to try some more of those types of things.

I already have some equipment coming from ebay. Now to stock up on duct tape for the inevitable ghetto rigging that is sure to take place.

Hope to post something within the next few weeks.

Looks like some of my stuff is coming on the 4th of February. There's just something satisfying about cannibalizing a 200 dollar scanner for parts! :D

Don't worry, I didn't pay 200 bucks for it, it was practically free.

You cannibalized a scanner... for your camera equipment? :o

How... what?

What scanner bits did you take, and what purpose will they serve?

Basically taking the CCD sensor from the scanner and mounting it in a traditional camera, but the element is linear rather than a grid like a normal digital camera.

Wow.
I have no idea what you're talking about. Sounds fun, though.
